How it works

From raw data to clear business insights

A managed service with four steps. The work is done by us; what you do is supply the data and read the result.

  1. 01

    Provide your data

You supply the relevant financial and business information for the period — exports, statements or summaries, in whatever format you already keep them.

  2. 02

    We analyse

Ventrix organises, structures and reviews the data, reconciling it into a consistent basis so that periods can be compared against each other.

  3. 03

    We identify insights

We set out the trends, movements, KPIs and performance indicators that matter, and note what changed against the previous period.

  4. 04

    You receive your report

You receive a professional PDF report with the findings written out in plain business language, delivered to your inbox.

The deliverable

A document you can put in front of anyone

Each cycle you receive one professionally formatted PDF. It is written to be read by an owner, a board or a bank — findings first, detail behind them — rather than to be interpreted by whoever happens to understand the spreadsheet.

  • Structured sections with a consistent layout from month to month
  • Charts and comparisons where the data supports them
  • Findings written in plain business language, not raw output
  • Delivered by e-mail, ready to forward or print

Questions

Frequently asked

What data do I need to provide?

It depends on the plan and on the analysis you want. As a rule it is the financial and business information you already keep — revenue and expense records, bank or accounting exports, and any operational figures you want reflected. We confirm the exact list with you before the first cycle, and we work with the formats you already have rather than asking you to rebuild your records.

How do I receive my report?

Digitally, as a PDF, by e-mail.

How often do I receive a report?

The three plans on this page are monthly. A different frequency can be agreed where it suits the business better; the plan and price are set accordingly.

Can the reports be customised?

Within the scope of the plan, yes. Reports are structured around the financial and business metrics that are relevant to your company, and around the data you supply. The depth of analysis, and how much of it is included, is what separates the plans.

How do I send my data securely?

Through a private, access-restricted folder that we set up for your company at the start of the engagement. Only you and Ventrix can open it. Financial records are not exchanged as ordinary e-mail attachments.

Is this a live dashboard?

No. Ventrix provides recurring business and financial reporting prepared by people, not a software dashboard. There is no login, no live data feed and no automatic connection to your accounting system. You send data for the period; you receive a finished report.

Can I upgrade my plan?

Yes. The reporting level can be adjusted as the business changes — moving up when you need more depth, or back down if a lighter report is enough.

Is this accounting, audit or financial advice?

No. See the note below — this is a management reporting service, and it does not replace your accountant, an audit, a statutory filing or regulated financial advice.

What this service is, and what it is not

Ventrix reporting is a management reporting service. Reports are prepared from data you supply, for your own internal use in understanding and running the business.

It is not statutory accounting, bookkeeping, an audit or assurance engagement, a tax return or filing service, or regulated financial, investment or accounting advice. It does not replace your accountant, auditor or adviser, and nothing in a report should be relied on as a substitute for professional advice.

Findings depend entirely on the accuracy and completeness of the information provided. Ventrix does not verify or audit the underlying data.
